What material is good for pneumatic hoses?

2024-03-02

When selecting materials for pneumatic air hoses, it is necessary to consider their application environment and specific requirements. The following are some common pneumatic air hose materials and their characteristics:

Polyurethane (PU). This material has good wear resistance, aging resistance, elasticity and strength, and is suitable for various industrial fields, such as mechanical equipment, construction equipment, coal mine conveying and automation equipment.

Neoprene rubber (CR). Neoprene rubber hoses are acid resistant, oxidation resistant, wear-resistant, UV resistant, and have good oil resistance. They are suitable for the transmission of low-pressure gases and liquids, as well as for the introduction of high-temperature fluids. However, they are prone to hardening in cold and low temperature environments.

Fluorine rubber. Mainly used for transmitting oxygen, fuel, oil, acids, and alkaline chemicals, it exhibits good corrosion resistance in high temperature and irritating media, and can withstand high temperatures up to 200 ℃.

Silicone rubber. Silicone rubber is mainly used in low-pressure pipelines and vacuum tubes, with high temperature resistance and good electrical insulation. It has high transparency, durability, and is also resistant to high pressure, aging, ozone, and ultraviolet radiation.

PVC. PVC materials are inexpensive, have good flexibility, but have poor resistance, are prone to aging and cracking, and are not suitable for use in harsh environments.

Each material has its unique advantages and applicable scenarios, so the selection should be based on actual application conditions and needs.
